Himalayan Organic Life and The Sunday Haat –Siliguri awarded at NBUPRERONA 2024 for Entrepreneurs and Visionaries.

Wanting to do something in your own place and also help your local family and friends have always been on our priority list. We started slow and steady, started with few local products, on a bootstrap budget. Gradually we met likeminded people on our journey and we could reach out to larger audience.More and more people, farming communities, agripreneurs, entrepreneurs, both young and old joined hands with us.

Today Himalayan Organic Life is not just an outlet but it is a way of life.We practice sustainable living, we provide training sessions, guide new comers with branding marketing and how to sustainably grow your business and also deliver organic and natural produce to our customers from Himalayan Organic life store in Devidanga Bazaar, Champasari main road, Siliguri, Darjeeling and online at www.himalayanorganiclife.com

To help facilitate the new comers, who were mostly from farming community, we created The Sunday Haat with few likeminded friends.  Shri Raj Basu, ACT; Shri Amrendra Pandey, COFAM; Ms. Sanjukta Bose, Mango Tree Village Haat; Ms. Nidhi Singh, Spandan and Shri Bishist Pradhan / Ms. Anamika Bhujel Pradhan from Himalayan Organic Life got together to create the first ever Organic Farmers Market in Siliguri, which operates every Sunday. Here the organic and natural growers come and sell their produce at a fair price, whatever profit they make, they take home.In this way we were able to help several farmers, FIGs, FPOs and entrepreneurs to reach out to larger audience over the last five years.

We appreciate the efforts of COFAM to honour us, Himalayan Organic Life and The Sunday Haat-Siliguri, they have been our guiding partner since our early days.  Thank you North Bengal University , COFAM for honouring us at NBUPRERONA 2024 for Entrepreneurs.Himalayan Organic Life was awarded the Best Agriculture Marketing and Branding Award and The Sunday Haat –Siliguri was awarded the Farmers Market Pioneer Award.

The journey was not easy but we were persistent.  Our sustainable journey continues and we will be very happy to guide and nurture newcomers. Let us not look for jobs but create our own. Let us guide and help each other; there is enough space for all.  Let us not be competitors but let us all work as partners. A Holistic development of good health and Success is for all.

JAI HIND!
