The atmosphere at CoFam was filled with anticipation as students from North Bengal University and visiting farmers gathered for an interactive learning session that blended entrepreneurship with emerging technology.
Representing Himalayan Organic Life, a unit of Himal Agro Food Tech Pvt Ltd, Bishist Pradhan shared his journey of building value-driven enterprises rooted in Himalayan resources. He spoke about transforming local superfoods into sustainable businesses, leveraging government schemes, and creating inclusive growth models that empower farmers and rural youth. His message was simple yet powerful: entrepreneurship begins with identifying local strengths and daring to act.
Complementing this vision, Anamika Bhujel introduced participants to Artificial Intelligence and its practical relevance in daily life and business. From smarter marketing to farm data insights, AI was presented not as a distant concept but as a usable tool. Her session on cyber safety highlighted responsible digital practices, data protection, and online awareness — crucial in today’s connected world.
The dialogue between students and farmers made the session truly impactful. Questions flowed, ideas sparked, and a shared confidence emerged — that rural innovation, powered by technology and entrepreneurship, can shape a stronger, self-reliant future.
Heartfelt thanks to Shree Amarendra Pandey ( CoFam) for creating this meaningful platform of learning, collaboration and for nice lunch.
